A Note from Our Periodontist

"Sometimes our teeth fail us. Whether you had abnormal facial development, irregular hygiene habits, or poor access to dental care, all of these factors affect what happens to our teeth. I am no exception.
Growing up, I was a goofy kid with a big sweet tooth and a severe overbite. I would eat candy and drink soda throughout the day and whenever I had the opportunity. A great orthodontist was able to correct my overbite. However, due to my love of candy and soda, multiple cavities were uncovered when my braces were removed. This led to multiple root canal procedures and crowns with various general dentists.
Fast forward to college; I was inadvertently hit in the face while playing sports, and my front tooth turned gray. An oral surgeon helped me with a bone graft and placement of a dental implant.
Through the wide spectrum of dental treatment I have experienced, it inspired me to become a periodontist. And just because I am a periodontist does not mean I have perfect teeth; I continue to smile because of the dentists and dental specialists who have helped me along the way.
Now, it is my turn to pay it forward. I started Smile Again Periodontics and Implant Dentistry to help patients like you continue to smile."
